Autumn Memories

This week is a going to be a throwback to long lost fall memories, as I'm slowly accepting the bite of the winter air and almost fighting the urge to curl up by the fire in my Uggs and knits. On a chilly November day I was able to capture the beauty of Central Park in the Fall: shades of rust and vibrant oranges lined the pathways and the sun peeked out from the buildings. The park has always been a much needed oasis in this bustling city and I love to be able to slip away during lunch to catch a few peaceful moments. I wore a few different shades of gray: My new favorite Aritzia wool coat, the coziest turtleneck sweater and pleather leggings. Since I've been on the prowl for the Chloe 'Susanna' boots since I first saw them, these ASOS ones have instantly become a favorite for me this year.

24K Magic in the Air

While the holiday season is quickly drawing to an end I refuse to let the magic die down just yet. New York City is one of the most magical places to feel festive during December. A few weeks ago I took a stroll with some friends to see and experience the magic of retail holiday displays on 5th Avenue. The best part of the season is also the excess of Black Friday and Boxing Day sales, of which I always try to take advantage of. This white blouse I picked up on Black Friday this year at Nordstrom, and it has quickly become one of my favorite pieces. I paired it with an embroidered floral skirt from Alice and Olivia that I got last year during holiday sales as well, and some OTK Steve Madden boots which are a total dupe for the $$$ Stuart Weitzman Highlands. I hope you all are having a lovely holiday season filled with love and your very own magic!

Au Revoir Summer

My favorite time of the year is when the days start to get shorter and the crispness of fall is still fresh but the temperature hasn't fallen so far down that it's time to hibernate. A few weeks ago I wandered around Soho popping into stores and art galleries enjoying the beautiful fall light on the cobblestoned streets downtown.

Of course my most worn fall staple is a cozy sweater but I swapped it out for this fun graphic sweatshirt that always makes me smile (and simultaneously wish I was in Paris and/or Tokyo). I paired it with an embellished Topshop blouse and my favorite pair of destroyed denim for my take on a playful weekend look.

Outfit Details: AIKO Sweatshirt (via TJMaxx sold out online), Topshop embellished blouse, Frame denim via Aritzia (on sale!), Trouve leather jacket (old, similar here), Vince booties, Louis Vuitton 'Speedy' 30 bag, Versace Sunnies.

City Love

When my coworker/photographer suggested we take pictures at the LOVE sign, I was skeptical. Generally, the crowds of tourists, cameras and selfie sticks are enough to turn me away from that infamous corner. However, once I saw the magic of the sunshine and blur of the crowd I was sold. A few weeks ago I was feeling the city love with this easy chambray shirt from Madewell and my go-to Theory skirt I got on super- sale last year.

Gotham Color Story

New York is filled with little nooks and crannies that I often fail to think about on my daily commute while scurrying down sidewalks sipping lattes and scrolling through emails on the subway platform. During a sunny day in Gotham, I took the time to find an indoor graffiti-inspired mural, and blended in with a mail truck while enjoying the last days of summer.

Vested Interest

I don't know about you, but it seems like this year is flying by! One minute I was dreaming of my future tropical getaway and all of a sudden I find myself scrambling to find the perfect sundress for a couple days of sun and sand next week.

A few weeks ago on a beautiful breezy summer day I spent my lunch hour in the park soaking up the rays in one of my favorite vests. From destroyed denim to duster-length, everyone seems to be trading in their jackets for more whimsical sleeveless options this season. I love that this one is reminiscent of a blazer and pulled my separates together easily into a sleek, polished look. Totally my fave!

Outfit Details: BCBG Max Azria Vest (similar here, and here),  Aritzia babaton trousers, Aritzia cropped sleeveless sweaterVince Camuto perforated pumps (on sale!), Rebecca Minkoff mini wallet on a chain, TJMaxx necklace, Ray Ban sunnies.

Modern Suiting

Between the hustle and bustle of the city streets and the promise of adventure around every corner, it's as if you never know what is going to happen next in the concrete jungle. This particular day, one minute it was sunny and the next a few rain showers popped out of nowhere. I've been loving simple suit separates lately and this Aqua blazer and colorful Splendid top were the perfect complements to an unpredictable busy weekday.

Summer Florals

Welcome back to Feed Your Fashion! I took an unintentional hiatus but I am back and ready to bring you new content for the coming warmer months. While the consistent rainy days these past few weeks have threatened to put a damper on my spring/summer style, I am excited for the warmer, floral and eyelet filled days ahead. My favorite Maje dress reminds me of sunny Parisian days and added some feminine ease to a beautiful afternoon.

Black and White

With each new fashion season comes exciting new trends and twists on last season's favorites, but sometimes what is most comforting is simply bringing back the classics. Black and white are two of my favorite (non) colors because they instantly make me feel sleek and polished. I love the idea of matching black and white patterns and textures and had to add a pastel statement necklace just to mix things up.

Outfit Details: Theory peplum top (last season, similar here and affordable option here), Topshop blazer (last season), Hudson jeans, Sam Edelman pumps, TJMaxx necklace, Marc By Marc Jacobs rose gold chain bracelet and sunnies

Entrenched In Spring

The Ides of March are officially upon us, and so is the unpredictable weather that comes with the hope of fresh blooms and pastel palettes. An unseasonably warm day last week called for my new favorite trench coat and an easy striped dress to welcome the warmth!

Outfit Details: Anthropologie Dress (old, but love this one and this one), Aritzia Trench, Vince Camuto fringed booties, Louis Vuitton 'Speedy' bag, H&M necklace (old), Marc by Marc Jacobs sunnies (via TJMaxx), Kat Von D 'Double Dare' liquid lipstick

Swayed By Suede

Camel and suede seem to have incorporated themselves into virtually every item this Winter 2016. The traditional suede-fringed jacket made a comeback, suede leggings had their moment, and we can't forget the plethora of suede boots on the sidewalks. Furthermore, can we even count how many times a Kardashian has rocked a monochromatic camel look?

Naturally, I had to have this suede camel skirt when I saw it on the racks at Aritzia- and decided to pair it with a black turtleneck, bomber jacket and metallic accessories. However, I could definitely see it matched with a sleeveless turtleneck and nude heels once the warmer weather allows.

Outfit Details: Aritzia Skirt and top, Rag and Bone bomber jacket, H&M tights, Vince booties, & Other Stories necklace, Whistles clutch, Versace sunnies

Snow Day Uniform

While I'm sure I'm not the only one who's tempted, I have decided not to put on a floral romper with gladiators and pretend it's spring- just yet. However, I've found that pairing a bohemian inspired dress with over-the-knee boots and a dash of tweed is the next best thing. The minidress with OTK boots trend seems to be popping up everywhere- from the streets of LA to NYC and I can't say I'm mad about it. I naturally added a vampy red lip just to add a touch of drama to the ensemble.

Outfit Details: Free People Mini Dress (similar here and here), Burberry jacket, Vince Camuto OTK boots (on sale!), Juicy Couture necklaces, Olive and Bette's "X" Ring (similar here), Pandora tiara ring, McQ by Alexander McQueen sunnies (similar here), Tom Ford Velvet Cherry lipstick

Pop of Pink At the Plaza

The dreaded Winter Rut is no joke: after the novelty of cozy sweaters and holiday pajamas has worn off the rest of winter seems like one monochromatic black uniform after another. I decided to switch it up with a few shades of gray- I've been loving this Vince ombre denim jacket (via TJMaxx), but spontaneously added this beautiful Fendi scarf and pink Kate Spade watch which gave a much needed playfulness to the look.

Outfit Details: Aritzia blouse, Rag and Bone denim, Vince jacket (via TJMaxx), Fendi scarf, Free People coat (old), Furla tote, Miansai bracelet, Kate Spade bracelet watch, Olive & Bette's "X" Ring,  JCrew necklace

Turquoise Poise

As the NYC temperatures quickly went from springtime to middle-of-the-arctic-tundra the past few weeks, I naturally tried to embrace them with a pop of color. This Anthropologie coat has consistently been a staple in my wardrobe for the past few years and brightened up a brisk NYC afternoon.

Outfit Details: Anthropologie Coat (old), Madewell Sweater, Aritzia Skirt, Rebecca Minkoff Bag (here) , Ray Ban sunnies, Sam Edelman pumps, House of Harlow necklace and ring, H&M tights (old)
