Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2022 Picks

It’s the most wonderful time of the year. No, not Christmas in July- the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! I wanted to share some of my picks. I know people have mixed feelings about the sale, but I personally think it’s a great opportunity to pick up Fall essentials. I always try to think “what do I need for Fall?” before shopping, because I want to make sure I don’t waste money on random items that I won’t have any interest in or need in a few month’s time. So without any further delay, here are some of my favorites from the sale.

Plaid Shacket: The perfect overcoat for fall when it’s just a bit crisp outside but you’re not yet knocked over by the wind. I ordered one!

Barefoot Dreams Blanket: A staple- ever since the Kardashians had one in every room on their show, these fly off the shelves every year during the sale. They’re still in stock though, in all colors, so snag one while you can.

All Saints Leather Jacket: Pricey, but a classic you’ll have for years to come. Because I wasn’t ready to splurge, I picked up this great dupe for only $59.

Natori Bra: I have 2 of these and they are by far the most comfortable and supportive bra I own. The best t-shirt bra.

Steve Madden Boots: The perfect mix between a Chelsea boot and combat boot. Love.

Zella Leggings: I had to pick these up because my sister and I got them for my mom as a gift a few years ago and I was obsessed.

Treasure and Bond Dress: Flattering and comfy for a casual fall day. Throw on some booties and a biker jacket and you’re good to go.

Zella Workout Top: So cute and a great price. Love the bright pink color too!

Earrings: Love these- they’re so sparkly and amazing alternative if you don’t have millions for the real Kris Jenner vibe.

GHD Flatiron: By far the best flatiron- I’ve had mine for a few years and it’s the least damaging, most effective one I’ve tried. And I’ve tried and fried a lot. lol.

Current Obsessions

Lately I realized that I am the type of person to get obsessed with things. For example, when I like something I need to have it ASAP- and bonus points if it’s something difficult to get. Does anyone else like the thrill/challenge of getting something that you can’t just get off the shelf? I know it’s silly but it makes it more exciting/valuable to me. Hence the fact that I’m determined to get Yeezy slides retail (I also refuse to pay $300+ for foam slides). However, I’m also the type of person to pick out or get things I gravitate towards, regardless of their overall popularity, so I’d like to think I’m balanced? Also, when I get into a song or artist, I tend to not only listen to them on repeat, but also watch every interview on Youtube and performance. Does this make me sound crazy? Probably? But we’ll go with passionate, right? In any case, I thought I would share with you some of my current favorites, or in my specific case, obsessions, in the hopes that maybe you’ll be obsessed too.

From Left:

Fuzzy Mules to ease into F/W 2021. These Shearling Birkenstocks have been all over my Instagram feed lately, and I admit I’m tempted to get them. Although, the $180 price tag has deterred me thus far. Therefore I have also been on the lookout for any more affordable dupes, but haven’t come across the perfect ones yet.

I have been on the hunt for a case for my AirPods, but because luxury brands keep making the cutest ones like these Dior AirPods Pro Case, nothing seems to compare. But I cannot justify $1000 for an AirPods case…one can dream though.

I have recently been seeing this Chloe Tote everywhere, and I’m so glad I’ve been introduced to it. Somehow it seems more practical than the Dior Book Tote (and it’s 1/3 the price) and it’s just chic and casual enough to take you from the Hamptons to the pumpkin patch, in my opinion.

I’m definitely late to this trend, and I’ve fought it for a while, but the Telfar Global Tote keeps catching my attention lately. It seems like the perfect work bag and props to the fact that they’re almost impossible to get. I love a challenge.

I found myself in Paper Source the other week looking for a baby shower card, but immediately got distracted by this Homesick Candle. The name of this candle is just too perfect considering most of us are utilizing a home office in one way or another over the past 2 years. As an added bonus, it smells amazing and I am intrigued to smell their other scents.

Everyone seems to be obsessed with layering gold chain necklaces lately, and I am no exception. However, it’s difficult to find one that not only doesn’t break the bank, but also doesn’t turn your neck green or change color in around 1 hour. This Astrid and Miyu Necklace is unique, has a vintage feeling, and is reasonably priced for a quality option. However, while I was browsing in Nordstrom the other day, I noticed they had quite a few even more affordable options such as this Madewell Gold Chain Necklace and Nordstrom Chain Necklace from their own brand. Love!

While I was browsing at Nordstrom I also remembered my never ending search for some Blue Light Blocking Glasses. They have a large selection in B.P. for literally $15 each, as well as other trusted brands like Quay. I will keep you updated on where my blue light glasses search ends up.

Please let me know in the comments what your current obsessions are!

Summer Trends 2021

I feel like I blinked and all of a sudden it’s Summer 2021. The world (or at least NYC) has begun reopening, and I am more inspired to get dressed with fervor and passion, rather than throw on a sweat suit just to sit on my couch. As the famous philosopher of our time, Kourtney Kardashian said “my vibe right now is just living life.” This is what I intend to do this summer. What better to help me live my best life than exploring the newest styles and summer trends. While some of this season’s trends are a bit outside of my comfort zone or just not my cup of iced green tea, there are a few I am definitely excited to put into my sartorial rotation. Keep reading for my favorite styles that I’m excited to work with this summer.

Crop Tops:

Crop tops have always been a summer staple but I think that this season they have become more mainstream. As in, not only reserved for teens and the younger- set (you can’t monopolize this one, Gen Z!). These are a few of my faves:

Zara top Green top Pink tee Knot top

Cut-Out Dresses:

This is the update for the early 2000’s bodycon dresses. The options range from fancy to doubling as a swim coverup and I like the easiness and flexibility of this trend for those hot summer days.

Gold dress , Mint dress

Longer Denim Shorts:

I know some of us are sick of the barely-there cutoff trend, so this one is definitely a welcome change. While I still haven’t found the perfect option for my shorter frame, I am optimistic that there’s a pair out there. Also, I like that this trend is a compromise between the Bermuda short (shudder) and the one-stride- away-from-showing-your-rear-end style.

Zara shorts, Abercrombie shorts

Matching Sets:

I love seeing all of the whimsical options currently on the market. They come in all colors, patterns and styles as well as in long skirts and short shorts. This is one of the easiest trends to partake in, because you just throw on a top and bottom maybe with a mule, and grab your handbag and you have an outfit.

Eyelet blouse, Eyelet shorts and Mini skirt, Cherry print top

Valentine's Day Gift Guide: Gifts For Her

The season of love is approaching so I wanted to put together a few things to get for your girlfriend, wife, sister, mother, bestie, etc. Although V-Day gifts are of course not mandatory, it’s always nice to be able to express your love and appreciation for that special woman in your life with something sweet or cozy.

Counter Clockwise from Left:Diptyque ‘Roses’ Candle- Definitely a splurge but the scent is amazing if you love Roses you cannot go wrong with this one. Plus I always find Diptyque candles have a longer burning time than some other more budget-friend…

Counter Clockwise from Left:

Diptyque ‘Roses’ Candle- Definitely a splurge but the scent is amazing if you love Roses you cannot go wrong with this one. Plus I always find Diptyque candles have a longer burning time than some other more budget-friendly candles. This limited edition Valentine’s Day packaging is adorable too.

Barefoot Dreams Blanket- I avoided shelling out for this blanket for years, but finally caved during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this year. It truly is worth the hype. I have the solid cream version but am obsessed with the leopard print option. Also, there are usually some great deals on these at Nordstrom Rack- don’t sleep on them! (see what I did there).

Dash Mini Heart-Shaped Waffle Maker- Blame it on Tik Tok, but I have been seeing these pint-sized waffle makers everywhere! While I’m more of a pancake gal, I just can’t resist the cuteness and you cannot beat the $9 price tag- so snag one if you can get your hands it.

Ugg ‘Fluff Yeah’ Slippers- While these may not be everyone’s cup of tea, I was overjoyed to receive these as a gift recently. The vibrant color options and extreme coziness make them a an all around winner in my book.

Compartes Chocolates- I discovered Compartes years ago, and instantly became addicted. However, since they are a Los Angeles-based brand, it was almost impossible to get my hands on this chocolate excluding during an occasional trip out West where I would make sure to stock up. Luckily, nowadays, it’s much easier to get your hands on and you won’t be able to resist the unique flavors like Coffee and Doughnuts (it actually has pieces of doughnuts in it) and Birthday Cake.

This Is Me Trying

Last Fall, during happier times. Still trying to channel this same energy today ❤

Last Fall, during happier times. Still trying to channel this same energy today ❤

The past few months have been filled with many obstacles: loss, uncertainty, confusion, doubt and most importantly, self-doubt. My entire life I’ve struggled with confidence- some days I feel on top of the world- ready to take on climbing a mountain, the next day I’d rather curl up in self-pity and can convince myself I’ll never accomplish my personal Mount Everest climb. However, the past few weeks I have been reckoning with life questions and decisions about my future. I guess they say that it’s often the hardest times that bring about the biggest changes or something like that. I decided that my fear of failure- which has been a theme in my life- is incomparable to my fear of stagnation. If I don’t even try, how can I fail? I know this is a cliche and I can see the Home Goods distressed wooden signs displaying something of the same nature on sale for 9.99 on the clearance self. But there’s something about losing someone dear to me, and being confined to my own physical and mental space for the last few months that has left this idea more clear in my mind than ever. I realized that without meaning to or allowing myself to explore other options, I had let my fear and insecurities control my future. I’m not saying that tomorrow I’ll land my dream job, win the lottery, or move to the UK, but I’ve allowed myself to realize that all of these things are options, not some intangible shooting star I’m continually grasping for. Each day I’m taking small steps towards accomplishing my goals, if that means taking small or big risks, I guess we’ll see how the stars align.

Retail Therapy: How I Shop

In my element at the outlets

In my element at the outlets

I would easily classify myself as a passionate shopper. Although, I don’t know if that is one of the accolades that me-or my wallet are most proud of.  I once admittedly dragged my friend through the Forever 21 Times Square for hours while I searched for a pastel knit I saw in a YouTube video that turned out to no longer be manufactured.  I like to take the reigns when it comes to scouring for a specific item that I have my mind set on. For this reason, I used to be terrified of online shopping. What if it doesn’t fit? What if something comes already torn or stained? And the dreaded consideration- what’s the return policy? All of these thoughts running through my head were enough to deter me from hitting ‘add to cart’ on more than one occasion. But as we have grown closer and closer to a fully digital lifestyle I have found myself less inclined to want to pour through racks of not-so-carefully curated items. There are obviously exceptions to my “rule” but as of late, I often trade physical clothing racks for mindless Instagram scrolling. Some of my favorite pieces I’ve found through influencers or bloggers earning their coin through affiliate and “swipe-up” links.  I also keep track of the websites that routinely have sales so there’s never a need to pay full price on that branded t-shirt that will be 40% off next month.  On the other hand, there are just some things I can’t bring myself to online-shop for. I have taken many a trip to Simon Premium Outlets to score deals on designer duds that lots of people wouldn’t bother to white-knuckle the Saturday traffic to get to. Furthermore, I rarely want my strawberries to be delivered to me when I can pick the best of the patch at Whole Foods and sleep easy knowing this to be a fact.

One of my favorite things about the age of options we currently live in is the ability to seek out new and innovative products easier than ever. I smugly pride myself on being one of the first of my friends to own a Popsocket, and I still depend on that little selfie stand to keep my phone glass shatter-free. Lately I have been obsessed with anything that will make my life easier- like taming my mane with the Revlon Blowdryer Brush. While reading Real Simple Magazine the other day I came across a three-in-one makeup brush that has the potential to revolutionize my travel-glam game. It is evident that today when it comes to shopping, the world, or internet-really is your oyster- as long as you’re willing to pay almost any price.

Everyday Makeup Favorites

makeup favorites.png

I have a confession to make: I am a beauty addict. I have a healthy obsession with all things makeup and skincare- because as they say, beauty starts from within. I love discovering new makeup products through my favorite insta-blogger, Youtuber, friends/family, or by flipping through the pages of my chosen magazine of the moment. I think it’s super important to find the right products for your skin-type, age, and overall relationship with makeup. For example, if you’re a makeup beginner, it might not be the best option to slap on the fullest coverage foundation on the market and go to town with a smokey eye off the bat (I’m still trying to master the smokey eye without giving sultry raccoon vibes). However, I wanted to share my favorite everyday makeup products that have made their way into my current routine, which generally takes me around 10-15 minutes to do and makes me feel ready for a work day, or can even transition to a night out.

Primer: I am always searching for new primers. I have dry/combo skin with some redness, and definitely love anything glow-y and hydrating. Some favorites include: Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer; Smashbox Primerizer, and for a major splurge the Sisley Instant Glow Primer.

Foundation: Georgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. This is a cult favorite, and I finally caught on to the hype. I don’t love full coverage foundations, but I also don’t want to have all my redness or any blemishes peaking through so this is an essential for me. It gives a natural, real skin finish, and it’s not matte or super glow-y so you don’t feel like a piece of cardboard or a disco-ball (a plus in my book).

Honorable mentions/favorites: Hourglass Vanish Stick Foundation, NARS sheer glow foundation

Concealer: Tarte Shape Tape: Another cult fave, although I think people either love or hate this full coverage concealer. It’s thick, blends out seamlessly with a Beauty Blender, and while people complain about creasing/dryness i don’t find this to be an issue. I have a love/hate relationship with the YSL All Hours concealer because I’m not sure it covers as well as shape tape but I like the light, blend-able formula. The NARS soft matte complete concealer is great for sheer build-able coverage as well.

Setting Power/Translucent Powder: Hourglass Veil Translucent Setting Powder. I can officially blame/thank Youtuber Nicole Guerriero for this obsession. I used to set my under eyes with the Laura Mercier secret brightening powder but as soon as I tried the Hourglass I haven’t looked back. It sets/brightens your under-eyes without looking powdery or cake-y and the best part is, you can sweep it over your entire face which is a game-changer for me on busy weekday mornings. If I want more coverage for my face, I’m also a die-hard fan of the Laura Mercier powder foundation which gives a bit more coverage and a natural finish as well.

Contour/Bronzer: I love trying out new bronzers so I don’t really have one that I consistently use. However, some of my favorites right now are the Smashbox contour and highlight kit (shout out to my friend Matt for this one), Benefit Hoola Bronzer, Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer (a great drugstore option) and NARS Laguna.

Eye Shadow: For some reason I can find myself buying a plethora of foundations, concealers, etc. but never like to treat myself to an eye shadow palette. Somehow it feels too indulgent and also hit or miss depending on the quality of the shades/pigmentation. Therefore, one of my favorite eye shadow palettes is the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette because a) it smells delicious (of peaches), b) the colors are a perfect mix of summery tones but it also has some fall/winter-y browns/taupes/olives. I also love eye shadow sticks and tubes for the their ease and build-ability: some faves include the Laura Mercier Caviar Eye Shadow Sticks and the Glossier Lidstar in Cub,

Highlighter: Becca Champagne Pop all day every day. However, if I do want something more ‘glow from within’ and less “BAM I’m here and I’m highlighted” I do love a cream highlight like the limited edition Burberry one from their holiday collection a while back (that’s no longer anywhere to be found-sigh). But, I think all Becca highlighters are beautiful and I’ve heard great things about the RMS Beauty ones.

Brows: Anastasia Brow Definer, Benefit Gimme Brow and Benefit ‘Kabrow’ are the only brow products you will ever need. Trust. Also Glossier Boy Brow but I wish they had more shades. Just sayin'.

Lips: Ah, how do i choose just one! The lip product obsession is real. However, I always find myself going back to the Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk, Dior Lip Glow in 001 Pink, Jeffree Star Liquid Lipstick in Androgyny, and Anastasia Liquid Lipstick in Allison.

Setting Spray: My ride or dies are Urban Decay All Nighter or Chill setting sprays. I also really love the Glamglow Glowsetter- it’s a superfine mist that gives a healthy glow and smells amazing. Also, a new fave I’ve recently discovered that’s worth the hype is the Morphe Continuous setting mist- this has an extremely fine mist and the spray is as the name suggests- continuous- so you don’t have to keep spritzing while drenching your face, I mean setting your makeup.

And with that, those are few of my favorite everyday makeup go-to products. I love sharing my favorite face finds since it’s so hard to concoct the perfect mix and know what works for you. Let me know if you’d enjoy another one of these posts- I could also go on about hair products and skincare to name a few!

Seeing Spots

If you had asked me a few years ago if I would be wearing a leopard print blouse, I would have looked at you like you had leopard spots yourself. For some reason whenever I saw the infamous animal print, I would think Real Housewife of New Jersey and not girl on the go in Gotham. However, animal prints, particularly leopard, have been everywhere lately and impossible to avoid. So when I saw this blouse at Topshop I knew that I had to dip my toe into the leopard trend. I felt particularly smug when I then watched a Zoella vlog and she happened to be wearing the same one.

As we journey into the festive season and ultimately the new year, I have been reflecting on my year in outfits. I know I’m the first person to put myself into a box, making blanket statements like: “I’ll never wear animal prints” or even boxing myself in in life “I’m not qualified for that job.” However, I decided to try the blouse at the risk of ending up looking like Mowgli’s overzealous sidekick because there was always that off-chance that maybe I could rock it with a leather jacket and a combat-inspired boot. To that end, there’s even a possibility that I could get that call for the interview and the walls of my little box might just get knocked down, opening up a world of possibility.

Striped Down

Every time I've sat down to write this blog post Liam Payne starts singing in my head "come and stripe that down for me-" wait that's not how the song goes?! All jokes aside, stripes are one of my absolute favorite patterns and it's embarrassing how many striped items I own.

Serendipitously, these photos were a perfect analogy to my current state of mind. We are all afraid of change- too little, too much, any extreme out of our comfort zone always throws us for a loop. Sometimes i think it's important to shed all of the surface concerns and go with your own gut. Sure, it's great to overthink things but when you strip away all of the opinions and potential pitfalls, we always know deep down exactly what's right. Lately, I've been finding myself questioning a lot of decisions in my life- it took me almost an entire year to find an apartment that felt like my new home- but when I walked into my new little light-filled studio I knew I could lay some roots here. Plus, I was able to dust off my favorite barstools from CB2. Sometimes we all need a little push forward but it's not to say we won't come out stronger and more confident with each step even if we falter.

This photoshoot caught the beauty and serenity of one of the most famous churches in NYC and I loved capturing the serene moments we create amidst the chaos of our everyday lives.

2017 In Review

The new year is always a time for reflection, goal-setting and prioritizing. While I'm definitely one to hop on the "New Year, New Me" bandwagon, I also like to think about my journey through 2017 and reflect on my growth in 365 days. This year was definitely one of highs and lows- but it's in the darkest hour that you find your true strength, right? Or maybe in my gas-less apartment for 7 months, something like that. I could complain about the trials and tribulations of 2017- a disappointing year for Politics, my apartment drama, my "failure" at blogging, challenges at work, but there were actually some really great moments this year for me. This year I found happiness and created memories with great friends- some who came and went, some who will be there for a lifetime, traveled to new places, continued to learn more about who and I and who I'm growing into. In light of all of the reflection I have been doing I thought I would share some of my favorite moments from this year. I'm excited to take more time and put more energy into Feed Your Fashion in 2018 and I hope all of you will continue on the journey with me.

xx, Em

Falling for Florals

I know when I think of floral clothing all I can picture is Miranda Priestly rolling her eyes and exclaiming "florals? for spring? Groundbreaking." But I do think it's groundbreaking that florals have started blossoming, blooming (too much?) their way not only onto Spring/Summer runways but also onto the Fall/Winter catwalks. While I shot this look a month or so ago before we all realized Winter is actually going to happen this year, I have been seeing more and more florals as the weather has transitioned from lemonade-friendly vibes to hot chocolate-necessary ones. I have also recently gotten into mixing silhouettes- in this case a girly floral dress with booties and a light military jacket/parka combo. I'm also excited to mix chunky knits with this new pleather/vinyl trend that's becoming impossible to ignore these days.

Night Moves

I know they call it the 'city that never sleeps' for a reason, but since I moved here 6 years ago (almost 7?!) I have always loved the magic of New York at night. The craziest or busiest of places all of a sudden become mysterious and romantic- the blinding lights in Times Square, the Empire State Building and in this case Grand Central illuminated in blue. It is easy to fall in and out of love with this city, but embracing its spontaneity often reminds me of why I fell for this smelly, loud, crazy place to begin with. After a happy hour with some coworkers a few weeks ago, we caught the magic of this early-Autumn Friday night in a NY minute.

Secret Garden

What I have always loved about fashion is that just when you think something is just going to stick around for a season or a reason, it sticks around for a lifetime. Wait are we talking about friendships or style? The point is, there is the constant discussion within the fashionista world of splurge vs. save. My current closet conundrum is whether or not to splurge on white booties for fall- these Balenciaga ones are calling my name- but will I regret my choice to buy "trendy" footwear next season when everyone is rocking the newest trend?

Going back to these photos (once again taken at the beginning of warmer weather) I realized my outfit had more in common with this fall season's trends than I expected. I was frustrated with my current wardrobe and picked up this flowy, embroidered blouse from Zara on a whim, but luckily it was the perfect backdrop to the loosely-gated garden I found in Central Park. Funnily enough, I have been seeing similar tops everywhere this September, albeit in woodsier rich taupes and pops of red, but nevertheless I think this might be one of those trends sticking around for more than a season.

Summer Hiatus

First things first: Welcome back to Feed Your Fashion! I have no idea where this summer has gone. I was on a blogging roll and then all of a sudden everything seemed to be happening at once: work, apartment drama, life, etc and my blog got pushed to the back burner.  But, enough with the excuses, I am so excited for Fall fashion and to start creating new content for you guys.

At the beginning of summer I shot these photos near Radio City Music Hall. While New York has a plethora of fantastic backgrounds and neighborhoods to shoot in, I love each of them for different reasons. Even though the Radio City area is definitely a hub for tourists, I also have fond memories of this area- my NYU graduation for example, and I just love the energy of businesspeople running to lunch meetings or in and out of 30 Rock. I took a moment to admire all of these moving parts while rocking a simple black eyelet skirt and silk top and the comfiest of summer wedges. I pulled it all together with a Rebecca Taylor blazer/jacket found at sample sale price.

Shape Shifting

It might seem dramatic but one of my favorite quotes recently has been "do one thing every day that scares you." Well, maybe not every day, hah. I'm not sure if it's the winter blues or our human nature to get caught up in our routines and to get consumed with the day to day hustle, but I feel like spring has inspired me to step outside of my comfort zone. I'm planning on making an effort to get out and do something new, learn a new skill or take a class to get the creative juices flowing and to feel inspired to take on new challenges.

Anyway, enough with the inspirational pep-talk, and on to the outfit details. I felt slightly uninspired when I put together this slouchy, casual look, but when I saw the photos I realized that I loved the unconventional silhouette this asymmetrical Trouvé sweater created with my favorite relaxed Aritzia trouser-joggers (troggers?). I paired them with a trusty Sam Edelman suede bootie that feels like an easy transition to Spring/Summer.

Love Army

I am still on the hunt for the perfect ruffled blouse- who knew it would be so hard?? But in the meantime I am feeling refined basics coming into the Spring season. This army green bomber is definitely becoming one of my closet staples, and I love the way it adds a feminine edge to any look. Although I got this piece last fall, it has been coming in handy for early spring- which often happens to me with outerwear. Coming into spring I am looking for new textures and colors to mix and match and I loved this unplanned pink and green moment (jacket and my nail color). I was also pleasantly smug when my coworker thought these Steve Madden dupes were the real Princetown Gucci loafers. I hope everyone has a good start to the week!

Winter Whites

The past few weeks have been a whirlwind, but I'm finally back in the blogging groove despite the madness that ensued in February. It's getting to be around that time when I'm getting bored with every single thing in my closet. While I definitely want to start incorporating a few new pieces into my wardrobe to get me through the seasonal transition (enter stage right: trumpet/bell sleeve sweaters, ruffled blouses), sometimes working with what you already have is just enough. I've had this Sam Edelman lace blouse in my closet since the spring and decided to dust it off with my usual work black on black uniform and a dash of spring with my mauve Valentino pumps- trust me when I say there's no outfit a Rockstud won't fix. I hope everyone is having a fabulous week and get ready for more fresh content!

Back in Black

If you ask anyone what differentiates NYC fashion from LA fashion for example, they would probably mention that New Yorkers wear more black. Besides the more "serious" tone of NY fashion, it is undeniable that black is the standard non-color we all seem to gravitate towards. I think it comes from that Audrey Hepburn vibe you instantly feel by popping on a black turtleneck with skinny jeans and booties, and the ease of knowing you'll match no matter what. This day was no exception: I could live in this black Aritzia sweater dress because of the coziness it provides without the sloppiness. I paired it with my trusty Vince booties (I basically live in these) and my LV neverfull- which is the perfect catch-all tote for the office. I've been on a bag charm kick lately and this whimsical Rebecca Minkoff one adds the perfect amount of playfulness to the most serious handbag.

Pink Lady

Happy Monday loves! And just like that it's somehow mid-February, and I'm dreaming of Spring palettes and coveting shirt dresses and pastel handbags. While there will be a snowier post coming soon, I had to give this jacket its moment first. I'm obsessed with pastels as neutrals lately, and this All Saints jacket has quickly become a staple in my wardrobe. I'm hoping these blush tones are here to stay because I can't wait to incorporate them into my Spring wardrobe.

Fallback Thursday

The snowstorm this past weekend had me hunkered down catching up on Younger (and wondering why Josh isn't my boyfriend?!?). However, it also had me thinking back to warmer times when it was possible to walk out the door with some skin exposed without instantly getting frostbite. I decided to throw it back to this long lost post from a few months ago, on a warm afternoon in cropped pants and a floral bomber. I love the look of mixing neutrals with a fun pattern, especially when it's too daunting to pair multiple prints together. These sandals are a perfect dupe for the Gucci ones that were all over the sidewalks last season, and I also have my eye on these, as an alternative to the 'Princetown' ones.
