Secret Garden

What I have always loved about fashion is that just when you think something is just going to stick around for a season or a reason, it sticks around for a lifetime. Wait are we talking about friendships or style? The point is, there is the constant discussion within the fashionista world of splurge vs. save. My current closet conundrum is whether or not to splurge on white booties for fall- these Balenciaga ones are calling my name- but will I regret my choice to buy "trendy" footwear next season when everyone is rocking the newest trend?

Going back to these photos (once again taken at the beginning of warmer weather) I realized my outfit had more in common with this fall season's trends than I expected. I was frustrated with my current wardrobe and picked up this flowy, embroidered blouse from Zara on a whim, but luckily it was the perfect backdrop to the loosely-gated garden I found in Central Park. Funnily enough, I have been seeing similar tops everywhere this September, albeit in woodsier rich taupes and pops of red, but nevertheless I think this might be one of those trends sticking around for more than a season.
