Lately I realized that I am the type of person to get obsessed with things. For example, when I like something I need to have it ASAP- and bonus points if it’s something difficult to get. Does anyone else like the thrill/challenge of getting something that you can’t just get off the shelf? I know it’s silly but it makes it more exciting/valuable to me. Hence the fact that I’m determined to get Yeezy slides retail (I also refuse to pay $300+ for foam slides). However, I’m also the type of person to pick out or get things I gravitate towards, regardless of their overall popularity, so I’d like to think I’m balanced? Also, when I get into a song or artist, I tend to not only listen to them on repeat, but also watch every interview on Youtube and performance. Does this make me sound crazy? Probably? But we’ll go with passionate, right? In any case, I thought I would share with you some of my current favorites, or in my specific case, obsessions, in the hopes that maybe you’ll be obsessed too.
From Left:
Fuzzy Mules to ease into F/W 2021. These Shearling Birkenstocks have been all over my Instagram feed lately, and I admit I’m tempted to get them. Although, the $180 price tag has deterred me thus far. Therefore I have also been on the lookout for any more affordable dupes, but haven’t come across the perfect ones yet.
I have been on the hunt for a case for my AirPods, but because luxury brands keep making the cutest ones like these Dior AirPods Pro Case, nothing seems to compare. But I cannot justify $1000 for an AirPods case…one can dream though.
I have recently been seeing this Chloe Tote everywhere, and I’m so glad I’ve been introduced to it. Somehow it seems more practical than the Dior Book Tote (and it’s 1/3 the price) and it’s just chic and casual enough to take you from the Hamptons to the pumpkin patch, in my opinion.
I’m definitely late to this trend, and I’ve fought it for a while, but the Telfar Global Tote keeps catching my attention lately. It seems like the perfect work bag and props to the fact that they’re almost impossible to get. I love a challenge.
I found myself in Paper Source the other week looking for a baby shower card, but immediately got distracted by this Homesick Candle. The name of this candle is just too perfect considering most of us are utilizing a home office in one way or another over the past 2 years. As an added bonus, it smells amazing and I am intrigued to smell their other scents.
Everyone seems to be obsessed with layering gold chain necklaces lately, and I am no exception. However, it’s difficult to find one that not only doesn’t break the bank, but also doesn’t turn your neck green or change color in around 1 hour. This Astrid and Miyu Necklace is unique, has a vintage feeling, and is reasonably priced for a quality option. However, while I was browsing in Nordstrom the other day, I noticed they had quite a few even more affordable options such as this Madewell Gold Chain Necklace and Nordstrom Chain Necklace from their own brand. Love!
While I was browsing at Nordstrom I also remembered my never ending search for some Blue Light Blocking Glasses. They have a large selection in B.P. for literally $15 each, as well as other trusted brands like Quay. I will keep you updated on where my blue light glasses search ends up.
Please let me know in the comments what your current obsessions are!
